Allied Health Training with Ancora

Medical Assisting
In our Medical Assisting course, your students receive individualized training in the knowledge, skills, and behaviors needed to work as a medical assistant. Through hands-on experience, they will learn both the front office administrative and back office clinical tasks and responsibilities.

Patient Care Technician
In our Patient Care Technician program, we prepare your students to become a key player in a healthcare team, assisting with basic procedures such as electrocardiograms (EKGs), blood draws, and more. We designed this course to focus on basic patient care skills, critical thinking, and effective communication so that your students are ready for entry-level employment in a wide variety of healthcare settings. Training is delivered in a hybrid format, combining in-person learning with asynchronous online education.

Pharmacy Technician Basics
This program provides individuals with the theory and hands-on experience to operate as a pharmacy technician. Learners in this program are prepared to perform in a variety of pharmacy environments such as an HMO pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, and retail pharmacies like those found in drug stores and supermarkets. Participants will have the opportunity to learn how to accurately process the information on a new prescription, request any missing information, list brand and generic drug names, dosage forms(s), and the route of administration for at least the top 100 drugs.
